During the trip, our bilingual naturalist guide will share interesting facts about the Amazonian flora, fauna, and culture to prepare you for an unforgettable experience.
First stop at the Yanacocha Rescue Center: You will get up close to rescued Amazonian species such as monkeys, wild cats, exotic birds, and reptiles, while learning about conservation efforts in the region.
Cultural visit to the Quichua Community of Cotococha: Discover the customs of this ancestral indigenous community. You will see handmade pottery, textiles, and have the opportunity to interact with the local inhabitants. Traditional Canoe Trip (30 min): We'll navigate the Puyo River in a traditional wooden canoe, used daily by Amazonian communities.
Lunch: We'll enjoy a typical dish called Maito de Pescado, cooked in bijao leaves from the forest. Vegetarian or chicken options are available upon request.
