Tour Plan / Itinerary

4 Days / 3 Nights in Cuyabeno

Includes: Land & river transport, naturalist guide, full board, accommodation & all activities

 

Day 1 – Arrival & First Jungle Encounters

Pickup at Magic Paradise meeting point or Lago Agrio Airport.
2-hour transfer to the Cuyabeno River Bridge, entrance to the reserve.
Start your adventure with a motorized canoe ride deep into the Amazon, spotting:
Tropical birds, monkeys, reptiles, butterflies, and jungle flora.
Your naturalist guide will explain the relationships between species in this unique ecosystem.
Arrive at Green Forest Ecolodge, settle into your room and relax.
Evening: Guided night jungle walk to discover insects, amphibians, and nocturnal creatures.
Dinner and introductory talk at the lodge.

 

Day 2 – Jungle Hike & Caiman Spotting at Night

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest: birds, monkeys, frogs, and rustling trees.
After breakfast, take a guided jungle hike along the riverbanks to discover:
Medicinal plants, orchids, giant trees, insects & birds
Return for lunch and rest in hammocks or common area.
Afternoon: paddle to Laguna Grande to enjoy the view and possibly swim with pink or grey river dolphins.
Watch a stunning Amazon sunset.
Night canoe ride to spot the legendary black caimans under moonlight.

 

Day 3 – Meet the Siona People & the Shaman

After breakfast, canoe to the Siona Indigenous Community.
Learn about their culture, daily life, and traditions.
Participate in making Casabe, a traditional yuca-based bread.
Visit the local shaman, who will introduce you to their spiritual worldview and ancestral healing practices.
Return to the lodge for rest, dinner, and overnight stay.

 

Day 4 – Sunrise Canoe & Return

Early sunrise canoe trip to observe birds in their most active hour: toucans, macaws, herons.
Breakfast at the lodge.
Return via canoe to Cuyabeno Bridge, then continue by land transport to Lago Agrio (included).
