Tour Baños safe emotion Description

We want this holiday to make the most of the diversity of activities that Baños and its surroundings have to offer safely.

We have focused on the privacy and bio-security of our tours. As well as taking into account the protocols to safeguard the well-being of our health. That is why we have prepared this 3-day tour that has a combination of adventure, fun and jungle! It begins with canyoning on day 1. On day 2 we will dedicate it to the jungle and on day 3 we will do a bicycle tour along the route of the waterfalls.

Tour Baños safe emotion Itinerary

Day 1

1. Check in: 12 pm at Santa Cruz Backpackers Hostel.

2. Canyoning Chamana

1. Be prepared to rappel, swim, slide, jump and walk your way through this unique natural environment.
2. We leave the Geotours office at 14:30 toward the Chamana waterfall, on a 15 minutes ride with a wonderful view.
3. Upon arrival our instructor gives a comprehensive safety and instruction briefing and then we begin with our first rappel of 15 meters, continue along the barrel and then take another exciting rappel of 15 meters.
4. Then we will take some small jumps and we will slip down a natural rock slide.
5. Rappel from the top of the falls to the 6 meter mark, where you will then rappel into a deep pool of clear, clean water.
6. Our journey ends with a 40 meters rappel!
7. Having worked up an appetite after such an exciting day you will really enjoy the delicious trout prepared over an open grill. Vegetarian options are available.
8. Your renewed energy will give you what it takes to enjoy all the nighttime fun Baños has to offer!
9. Return to Geotours office in our comfortable van.
10. Geotours Adventures will always leave you with memories to last a lifetime!

Day 2

1. Tour Puyopungo Jungle-Full day

1. Depart the Geotours office in our comfortable van for the 90 minute ride from Baños to Puyo, through the scenic Route of the Waterfalls of Sangay National Park.
2. Along the way, our naturalist guide, a professional with extensive knowledge of the flora, fauna and culture of the area, will point out interesting information to prepare you for this exciting day!
3. Our first stop will be at an animal refuge center where you will observe and learn about animal species like monkeys, cats, and birds representative of the Ecuadorian Amazon.
4. Our next visit will be to the Quichua community Coto Cocha, where we will learn about these indigenous people and view their hand made ceramics and other crafts.
5. A beautiful ride on the Puyo river will follow, in a wooden canoe typical of those used by the community.
6. A traditional Ecuadorian lunch will be prepared for us at Hola Vida.
7. We will be served a classic dish known as Maito de Pescado, which is fish that has been cooked in the bijao leaves found in the surrounding forest.
8. This is a very healthy and tasty dish! Chicken or vegetarian options are available upon request.
9. The afternoon will be spent hiking through the forest while our guide explains about the unique Ecuadorian rainforest, identifying several plants with different uses and properties.
10. Imagine a plant that can give us a temporary jungle tattoo!
11. The hike will lead us to a beautiful hidden waterfall, inviting us to bathe in its crystal waters.
12. To end the day, we will watch the sunset from above the jungle canopy.This is an ideal time to take photos or just relax and enjoy the incredible view.
13. Departure: 08:30 
14. Return: 20:30

Day 3

1. Waterfalls route Biking tour:

1. Our day begins with a 20 minute bike ride from the Geotours office in Baños to the first waterfall, Agoyan, where we will stop to rest and take photos. The next stop is the spectacular Manto de la Novia.
2. The cable car ride we will take over the booming Pastaza river will give us an up-close view of the crashing falls. The Ecuadorian landscapes will amaze you as we wind our way 15 km through the small village of Rio Verde and stop to stand in awe of the massive Pailon del Diablo waterfall.
3. Afterward, we will ride to Machay falls, hike to its base and cool off in its powerful and refreshing waters. Having worked up an appetite we will be glad to have lunch back in Rio Verde, and relax and take in the scenery as we travel by car back to Baños.
4. Departure: 09:00 or 14:00
5. Return: 13:00 or 18:00
